Larry and Karen ArftCity Manager for 11 years, Larry Arft will step down from his post this summer. Karen, has served as chair and inspired volunteer for organizations and causes that have helped identify Beloit as a community supportive of the arts and beauty and the welfare of its citizens. Both officially and unofficially their dedication to the creative life of this community has transformed Beloit into one of the most talked about and honored small cities in the region.

“Beloit the city has shared a vision with Beloit the Film Festival that represents our mutual confidence and willingness to reach to new heights. It is best summed up in our response to every new challenge: “Why not?”

In the invitation to the Arfts, BIFF President Ron Nief said that “As you assume your new roles in “private life” we would like to recognize you and include you in a project that, without you, would not be celebrating ten years of success.”
