The Newest, Established, Permanent, Floating Gambling Night in Beloit
Whether you want to celebrate or just pack up and move after the national elections in November, the Beloit International Film Festival and the Beloit Public Library Foundation have the perfect setting for you to let it all go…for a couple of good causes.
Saturday, November 12, will mark the first “Guys and Dolls Night: The Newest, Established, Permanent, Floating Gambling Night in Beloit.”
Set in the Casino Room of the Beloit Public Library–didn’t know there was one did you–there will be music and dancing and gambling with special prizes, hors d’oeuvres and desserts and a cash bar.
Prizes to Top Winners
As iconic films and book covers flash on the walls and Lady Luck wanders the floor, the evening will offer the opportunity to try all of your favorite games with BIFF and BPLF Bucks. Prizes to top winners will be presented at the end of the evening.
Throughout the evening the Lounge Show will feature great jazz for dancing and listening. The “Eddie B Jazz” combo will keep the dance floor rocking, with prizes for the outstanding achievement in Dancing the Night Away.
“The Beloit Public Library Foundation is excited to join forces with BIFF for what we think will be an evening packed with great entertainment and surprises, whether you like to gamble, dance or just mix it up with friends,” says Beloit Public Library Director Nick Dimassis. “It’s a chance to get dressed up—or to take your cue from one of the impeccably dressed characters in Guys and Dolls—and see your library in a very different light.”
