Director Statement
On the collaboration:
“Working on this project was a dream. I had already worked on several projects with Steve Aoki, so I knew that we got on well. With 2 in a Million he gave me the chance to do what I love for a music legend like Sting.”
On the director’s cut:
“I was so inspired both by the energy of the dancers as well as the location – the United Palace theatre in New York. It was challenging, as we had to do everything in just thirty minutes (hence why the long shot), but it’s rare to have time to spare at the end of a shoot. I just had to do it”

In 2008, Brandon Van Dalen began a solo career using the name Strategic. His style is a mixture of pop, rock & punk. Strategic’s music and message aims to communicate that we are all here for a purpose. Recordings include full instrumentation while his upbeat live performances include something called, “Live Looping” where he uses different combinations of acoustic guitar, percussion and vocals to recreate the songs.
Strategic has released 3 EP’s and 2 full length albums as well as a Christmas cd, re-imagined songs project and a few singles.
