Stevie finds herself chased by a mad man in a remote Pacific Northwest forest. When he finally catches her, the story shifts to show what led up to these final moments. It’s revealed some things are not always what they seem. SHE. PICKED. ME. is a modern “Gore Noire” that explores current Social and Feminist themes while stylistically paying homage to nostalgic horror tropes.
I made this film after having emerged from a tumultuous period in my life. It helped me to better understand the power of forgiveness – both of oneself and others – and how it frees us to move on to better things. Maybe it can do the same for others.
