2047. Every human being is identified, traced and large surveillance and censorship networks have been developed. Among a few freethinkers, Serena, a teenage girl is secretly developing glasses to reveal vortices, doorways to other dimensions. What will this opening to the unknown unveil?

Director Statement

Verona is my first feature film, very special because is a project that was developed with my husband, Leonardo Machado, he died on 2018. It was hard to direct a love story based on Romeo and Juliet while I was in mourning. It took al lot of strength, but with a real co-creative work with the cast and crew we did it.

MICHEL ROUSSEAU (Meaux, FRANCE, 1975) made a first short movie « Les gardiens de la Matrice » in 2016. He decided in 2017 to create a feature film « Vortex, l’aube de la souveraineté » Then, he signed his first feature Science Fiction film, meant for an Awakening, taking on many hats including those of screenwriter, director, special effects, music etc … Four years were required to achieve this unique concept that offers new thinking approaches to our Human experience and our future.
