BIFF FestEve 2020
BIFF FestEve 2020
The party of the year—or in this case fifteen years—is set to launch the fifteenth anniversary season of the Beloit International Film Festival. BIFF FestEve will bring together the past and the future of BIFF with great food, entertainment and socializing.
The party, sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors, takes place on Thursday evening, Feb. 20, on the eve of the opening of BIFF2020, at IronTek on the Ironworks campus starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 and are now available for advance purchase.
The Irontek big screen will offer memorable cinematic moments from the past decade and a half while members of the new class of 2020 filmmakers mix and talk about the films of the future.
“We have much to be proud of and grateful for as we approach this milestone,” notes BIFF
Executive Director Greg Gerard. “Leading us that evening in our celebration will be BIFF Honorary Chair Stephanie Klett, a great promoter of BIFF since its inception. And the party could not be complete without some words from the founding sponsor, and mainstay of BIFF, Diane Hendricks, and the trio that created BIFF way back in 2006, Becky Rogers and Ron Nief.”
Entertainment will be provided by the Black Donnellys, the internationally celebrated Irish duo, on hand for the showing of their new documentary feature This is My Home, the story of their search for the American Dream while following their quest to play 60 shows in all 50 states in 40 days. They will be accompanied by some of the extraordinary string musicians from the Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra.
Great food and beverage selections will be available throughout the evening and are included in the price of admission. Tim Goers of G Five Brewing Company will be providing catering services, which will include delectable charcuterie, a brand new BIFF beer for the 2020 festival, and wine selections.
Tables for eight are available for reservation. Space will be limited, so purchase tickets soon.
