The Kickoff Event You Don’t Want To Miss

For many, the release of the official Beloit International Film Festival printed program at a big party is what really gets the season rolling. The time has come.

This special Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce – Business After Hours party will feature the first appearance of the Beloit Daily News printed program.

The annual Reveal party offers a chance to learn about the hot films at this year’s film festival. In addition to the detailed schedule, the printed program, includes background on all the films and special events, from the opening night party with Tony Scodwell, to the closing Classic Film. The Reveal also provides an opportunity to speak with those who have screened a thousand submissions to find the 100 films for this year’s BIFF. Trailers for many of the films will also be shown.

Hors d’oeuvres from Domenico’s Italian Ristorante and La Casa Grande, as well as beer and wine will be on hand.

People’s Choice Award

The Reveal will also include the presentation of the People’s Choice Award to one of the 20 films shown this season at the Wednesday evening BIFF Year ‘Round series at the Hendricks Center at Beloit College.

The BIFF 2019 program is designed by Mary Terry, Meridian and is printed by the Beloit Daily News. It will be available at businesses throughout Rock County starting Feb. 8 and will be distributed in the weekend edition of the Beloit Daily News on Feb. 10.

The Reveal is made possible by the Home2 Suite of Hampton Inn, the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, and Domenico’s and La Casa Grande manager Nate Lipps.

The Beloit International Film Festival, celebrating its 14th season, is sponsored by the Hendricks Group in association with Beloit College and with additional support provided by Visit Beloit. Support for the Festival comes from area businesses and civic organizations, and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. Individual support for BIFF is provided through membership in the BIFF Founders and the Film Society of Beloit.
