Reel Deal 2018

Beloit Public LibraryIf you think you know when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em, then you want to mark Saturday, October 27th, on your calendar. That is the date you want to be in the legendary Red Carpet Casino of the Beloit Public Library for the second annual Reel Deal, where you can bet on some guaranteed winners–the Beloit International Film Festival and the Beloit Public Library.

Marty Densch, BIFF Executive Director says “People are still talking about last year’s fabulous Reel Deal casino night, which was the newest, established, permanent, floating gambling night in Beloit. This year’s event moves from the back room and takes center stage in the heart of the library and promises to be even more elegant and more exciting than before.”

Just beyond the gaming tables guests will find the Riverside Room where they will enjoy a tasty buffet of the finest hors d’ouerves, an array of beverages to slake their thirst, and they will marvel at the bounteous displays of tempting silent auction items. As Lady Luck wanders the floor, the evening will offer an opportunity to play favorite games of chance with BIFF and BPL Bucks. Prizes to top winners will be presented at the end of the evening.

And dancers will want to note that all evening, the lounge show will feature the great song stylings of Eddie B Jazz, led by celebrated local drummer Eddie Bogdonas. The special dance floor will be rocking, and prizes will be offered for outstanding achievement in “Dancing the Night Away.”

An Evening of Entertainment

“The Real Deal offers a chance to get dressed up and show off your moves on the dance floor, your cunning at craps or your readiness at roulette—all in support of two great Beloit institutions,” says Ana Kelly, president of BIFF. “BIFF is excited to join forces with The BPL again for what will be a unique evening packed with entertainment and surprises, whether you like to gamble, dance or just mix it up with friends.”

Beloit Public Library Director Nick Dimassis adds that Beloiters “will gain a new view of their library. From the moment you enter, professional dealers and croupiers will be ready to give you an even chance at breaking the bank.”
