Upon discovering a coded message in the self help book 6 Dynamic Laws for Success (In Life, Love & Money) which purportedly reveals the location of $2.4 million missing from a bank robbery gone bad, a demoralized ex-used car salesman sets out on a quest to find the money and remake himself in the process. However, he soon discovers he’s not the only one after the cash, and that the road to riches and self-improvement is littered with irate ex-wives, litigious fiancés, household calamities, accidental murders, and love at first sight.

Filmed in Idaho, 6 Dynamic Laws for Success in Life, Love & Money draws inspiration from the golden age of film noir, screwball comedies, and seminal self-improvement books like Think and Grow Rich and How to Win Friends and Influence People to weave its farcical tale. Shot in stunning black & white, the film celebrates classic cinema while offering a fresh, original comic noir.

Gregory Bayne
Director

Gregory is an award-winning cinematographer, editor, producer, writer and director working from Idaho.

A 2012 Sundance New Frontier Storytelling Fellow, and 2015 IFP Screen Forward Lab fellow, Bayne has been a guest speaker discussing the changing landscape of film, media, crowdfunding and digital distribution at Columbia University, the Los Angeles Film Festival, Lone Star Film Festival and the London Film School, and has written for Filmmaker Magazine, WorkbookProject.com, and NoFilmShool.com.

Since 2009 he has produced and directed two documentary features, Jens Pulver | DRIVEN (2011), and Bloodsworth–An Innocent Man (2015). In 2014 he co-created (with Christian Lybrook) and directed the pilot for, the award-winning series Zero Point, which was developed through the IFP Screen Forward Lab, and premiered as part of the 2015 Tribeca N.O.W. program.

Currently, Bayne is on the festival circuit with his debut feature as a writer/director, 6 Dynamic Laws for Success (in Life, Love & Money), and developing his second narrative film, Total Electric Living.
