As the title of the song suggests this film encapsulates the concept being reborn.
On the collaboration:
“Working on this project was a dream. I had already worked on several projects with Steve Aoki, so I knew that we got on well. With 2 in a Million he gave me the chance to do what I love for a music legend like Sting.”
On the director’s cut:
“I was so inspired both by the energy of the dancers as well as the location – the United Palace theatre in New York. It was challenging, as we had to do everything in just thirty minutes (hence why the long shot), but it’s rare to have time to spare at the end of a shoot. I just had to do it”
Steven Cleavland, Kyle Kadow
Found Format was born out of a strong collaboration between artists Steven Cleavland & Kyle Kadow, who catalyzed in their shared sense of gritty tone and abstract style. Passionate filmmakers, the directing duo cut their teeth in music videos that quickly paved roads to commercial work and narrative short films. The work culminating into themes of “the real” while keeping humanity at the core. In the end, the duo sensed the work was at its best when it was an exploration of two – a Found Format.
