The Alternate has been my main project since March of 2014, so by the time my festival run is over I will have been working on this film for eight years. It has been an absolute roller coaster from locking down my team, securing funds and finally shooting the film right before the pandemic, shooting my final day in January of 2020, but it has all been a dream come true.

I can’t wait for you to all experience this story about Jake, a videographer dreaming of a filmmaking career that he’s not working hard enough towards and the portal he discovers that allows him to live his dream.

As a full time videographer/video producer for over 8 years, this story is loosely based on my own life and is the answer to the question ‘What if all my dreams were laid out for me, ripe for the taking?’ Would I walk down that dark path or take the this discovery as a sign that I could still have a different life if I worked for it?
