Clint Thayer
Director
Clint Thayer is a professional photographer and videographer based in Madison, Wisconsin. He was raised on the coast of Lake Erie in the small town of Lakeside, Ohio. From an early age, rocky shorelines and powerful storms shaped his intrigue with motion, light, and human form.
He leads Focal Flame Photography, a 12-person photo and video production firm in Madison that captures the visual journey of people who are striving to accomplish their goals in their personal lives, their businesses and organizations, and their communities. He serves as staff photographer and videographer at the UW-Madison Department of Medicine.
Clint balances technical aspects of videography and photography with a keen sense of composition and timing. An alumnus of the College of Wooster in Ohio, he also studied under Richard Clarkson in the Summit Series of Sports Photography at the U.S. Olympic National Training Center in Colorado Springs. Clint is a Pro-level member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). He enjoys road biking and spending time with his wife and Focal Flame co-founder Robyn Perrin, and their two children.
