Director
Ninja Thyberg studying film directing line at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and has previously gone Fridhem Folk High School’s two-year film education (2009-2011), and read a screenplay education BrobyGrafiska.
Ninja Thybergs films revolve around themes such as body, power, sexuality, and group dynamics. She was a production manager for a graduation film at the Film School and has worked in Film in Skåne and Film in the West’s talent bet F-offs. She has also worked with the production company Creative Way and made a radio drama version of his short film Afro.
In 2012 she won the newly instituted prize in the New Talent Award, which consists of a total of 300 000 in production support, at Pixel-festival in Lund. At the 2013 Cannes Film Festival was Thybergs short film Pleasure is the only Swedish film to be shown at the festival. The film, which is about a porn movie, appeared in the critically week’s short film section and won the Canal + Award at the festival.
