Aaron Harvey is a writer / director, currently living in Los Angeles. Aaron started a production company in 2005, Fixed Point Films, with a partner and produced over a dozen feature films – all of which received major distribution via such distributors as Lions Gate and Warner Bros.
Aaron eventually left Fixed Point Films to pursue his own projects, writing & directing CATCH .44 starring Forest Whitaker, Bruce Willis and Malin Ackerman, in August of 2010. CATCH .44 was released theatrically in December 2011 by Anchor Bay Films.
After the success and completion of that picture, Aaron joined up with Megan Ellison as she formed Annapurna Pictures. Since its inception in 2011, he has been involved in the companies initial slate of films including; LAWLESS (Shia Lebouf, Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke), THE MASTER (Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman), HER (Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, Scarlett Johansson), and ZERO DARK THIRTY (Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke), which was nominated for five Academy Awards. He was subsequently hired to write several screenplays for Annapurna, including the long-gestating adaptation of the novel THE QUEEN OF THE SOUTH. At the same time, Aaron wrote and directed the short film, IDIOT., which played in over thirty international festivals and won six – including Best Short Film at the 2013 downtown Los Angeles Film Fest, Best Short Film at the 2013 Laughlin International Film Festival and Best Screenplay at the 2013 International Festival of Cinematic Arts Los Angeles.
Aaron left Annapurna in 2013 and created his own production entity, Michael Bruce Pictures, to house all of his future projects under. In 2015, Aaron wrote, directed and produced his next feature film, LAST DAYS OF SUMMER starring William Fichtner, Jessica McNamee and Michael Rosenbaum.
The film premiered in August 2016 at the Rhode Island International Film Festival, where it won the Grand Prize for Best Narrative Feature Film. He is currently in development on two new feature projects, the first of which will shoot in early 2017.
