Kristin Peterson Kaszubowski and Leo Fleming are Milwaukee-based filmmakers.
Kristin Peterson Kaszubowski is an award-winning filmmaker, published poet, and budding playwright based in Milwaukee, WI. Since graduating in 2012 from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a documentary journalism degree, she has made dozens of films, many of which have screened across the country and globe. Her poetry has been published by such presses as dancing girl press, ICHNOS, Z Publishing, pity milk press, and more. Her first full length poetry collection will launch in June 2019 from Vegetarian Alcoholic Press.
In 2018, her music video “Gravetalking” (artist: Amanda Huff) won the Milwaukee Film Festival’s Cream City Cinema Music Video Award. She was also awarded the Brico Forward Fund for her first feature film “Ringolevio.” She and her team will begin production in Spring 2019.
Kristin Peterson Kaszubowski is also an artist-in-residence at the newly launched No Studios, an exciting new entity that will foster the marriage of art and business in the greater Milwaukee area. She also is on the Executive Committee for the Milwaukee Filmmaker Alliance, a non-profit that aims to support artistic and commercial filmmaking in the area.
Leo Fleming is a UW – Milwaukee film grad and currently works at SRH Marketing as their primary editor.
