John Akre is an award-winning animator and documentary video maker with over twenty years of experience teaching his craft and creating community through media. He has made over 100 animated shorts and three animated features that have been screened all over the planet.
John enjoys history, community and creaky old forms of media. He incorporates these interests into his “Sloppy Films Animation Station,” a bicycle-delivered stop motion animation studio that can create spontaneous cartoons with the public.
