The Bespoke Tailoring of Mister Bellamy
Directed by Alexander Jeffery
USA |16 min | 2015
At the integration of the job market in 1964 Louisiana, a posting for a janitorial position at a local law firm and the discovery of an old sewing machine ignites a buried passion in old Bellamy…
Born in Canada, raised in Arkansas, and schooled all over the world, Alexander has always carried a deep love for storytelling. As a child, Alexander would point the family video camera at his Star Wars figurines and yell “Action!” and “Cut!” with fervor. Whether it is on stage as an actor, behind the camera as a director, or capturing candid moments on his iPhone, Alexander loves and respects the art of telling a good story.
Alexander has garnered awards both nationally and internationally for his films “Love, at Last,” “Contact,” and “The Bespoke Tailoring of Mister Bellamy” for which he won the Grand Prize at the Louisiana Film Prize. He has screened at the prestigious Sidewalk Film Festival, Oxford Film Festival, Indie Memphis Film Festival, and Dam Short Film Festival.
Alexander has been working as a festival director for the El Dorado Film Festival since its inception in 2014.
