It is 1968 and Marianne is 19. She is placed in a home far from her family and friends where she meets other young girls whose common secret has shaken the foundations of their social standing.

Julie Gourdain was born in Paris in 1986. After completing her bachelor’s degree in literature, she studied film theory at L’Université Paris VII, at which time she developed a special interest in the link between dance and film. She spend a year abroad as an exchange student at Wesleyan University (CT), USA, followed by a master’s degree in film direction at ECAL / HEAD in Lausanne, Switzerland. At the end of his studies he helped found the company StudioFly, while writing and finally directing “Veil of Silence” in 2016.
