Director Statement
“Coming home doesn’t mean the war is over; for some veterans, a new battle begins.” The objective of this show is to bring attention to a serious issue (PTSD) in a non-serious manner. In my work I try to make a point, help someone and focus on the connective tissue of performance. In my opinion, that is the key to taking a fictional set of circumstances and make them believable to an audience. As a white male, I have always made a point to bring a diverse cast and crew to the screen even before it became a “thing” that we weren’t using a diverse enough cast to the screen. Feel free to look at my projects going back to 1999. All diverse. And important and most importantly: funny.
