Worldwide Podcasts to Launch BIFF2022

Millions of movie fans globally will be tuned into The Beloit International Film Festival on this year’s opening weekend with international podcasts and videocasts planned from downtown Beloit. Local and visiting filmmakers will get to share in the experience.

Brian Sebastian, Host | Movie Reviews & MoreBrian Sebastian, host of Movie Reviews & More with ten million views and counting, and two regularly scheduled shows with millions of viewers, will visit BIFF Feb. 25 – Feb. 27 with several on-air personalities. Sebastian will air his weekly broadcast from Beloit and will share new thoughts on social media content, brand recognition, and an assortment of other fresh concepts that are sure to enlighten and entertain at a workshop for filmmakers and fans on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 10:30 a.m. at IronTek, 635 3rd St. in Beloit.

“I have been talking about the Beloit International Film Festival to my listeners for years, so this is a great opportunity to be there and to talk to the outstanding independent filmmakers you attract,” says Sebastian.

BIFF executive Director Greg Gerard says that “Brian is a sought-after figure in Hollywood circles, attracting some of the biggest names in film today for his weekly programs. He has promoted BIFF for years and we are excited to welcome him to spread the word about what we have accomplished and to share his in-depth knowledge with local and visiting filmmakers.”

Joining Sebastian in Beloit will be several co-hosts of his podcast that demonstrate the broad range of topics and expertise on the program. Among the guests will be Teri Marie, who conducts many of the red carpet interviews for the program, Angelica Robles, former FBI interrogator and author of “Through These Brown Eyes,” and Linda Steele, Chicago-based fitness trainer and co-host of Macro Made Meals.

The Beloit International Film Festival this year marks its 17th season as the region’s major international cultural event. BIFF is generously sponsored by the Hendricks Family Foundation and Visit Beloit in association with Beloit College. Support for the Festival comes from area businesses and civic organizations, and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. Critical individual support for BIFF is provided through gifts and membership in the BIFF Film Society of Beloit.
