The Chamber of Terror

Directed by Michael Pereira
Narrative Feature
Canada | 93 min | 2021

Local mob family, the Ackermans run a safehouse in the outskirts of the seemingly tranquil small town of Chasden. Within this compound contains the one place no one wants to find themselves in: “The Chamber of Terror”. The extraction of information from helpless captives and/or ruthless aggression toward helpless captives is the name of the game in this grisly room of torture. However, on this occasion, little do they know that the victim of the day, the mysterious and vengeful Nash Caruthers may be more than they bargained for. They destroyed his world, and he aims to return the favor in an unpredictable night chockfull of bloodshed and mayhem…along with something far more sinister.

I made this film after having emerged from a tumultuous period in my life. It helped me to better understand the power of forgiveness – both of oneself and others – and how it frees us to move on to better things. Maybe it can do the same for others.
