Jonn Herschend is a publisher, filmmaker and visual artist. His films and installations have been exhibited in Museums, Galleries and Art centers internationally and nationally, including a recent exhibition at Den Frie Contemporary Art Center in Copenhagen, Denmark and an on-line film series with the Oakland Museum of California. His work has appeared at LKV Gallery, Norway; the Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art; Diverse Works, Houston Texas; the Pacific Film Archive, Berkeley; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and the San Francisco International Film Festival, where his short film, “Embrace of the Irrational,” won a 2010 Golden Gate award.
He is currently co-editor and publisher (along with visual artist Will Rogan) of THE THING Quarterly, an object based publication that has featured issues by the likes of Miranda July, James Franco, Jonathan Lethem, and Dave Eggers. He has been a visiting lecturer at the University of California Berkeley, and Stanford University and is currently a senior lecturer at San Francisco State University and California College of Art.

A couple hits the road for a weekend getaway, hoping to restore their malfunctioning marriage. However, they are not alone in this nightmare but they will soon find out that this can easily change. Now more than ever, they will require each other’s strength and love to find a way to escape.

When Billy disbelieves, Mike leads the trio into a nightmare of unrelenting terror.

DILLI – city of dreams – is a universal story of millions of underprivileged around the world. DILLI holds up a mirror not only to India, but to every nation around the world, whose poor live forgotten under bridges, children go hungry, and fathers work thousands of miles from their families to provide. DILLI brings awareness. And awareness is the first step towards action.

Experimental Animator Helen Hill found more than 100 handmade dresses in a trash pile on one Mardi Gras Day in New Orleans. She set out to make a film about the dressmaker, an African-American seamstress who had recently passed away. The dresses and much of the film footage were later flood-damaged by Hurricane Katrina while Helen was still working on the film. Helen was murdered in a home invasion in New Orleans in 2007. Her husband Paul Gailiunas has completed the film, which includes Helen’s original silhouette, cut-out, and puppet animation, as well as flood-damaged and restored home movies.

Every day that the N.I.W.C. has been open, pro-life activists have come to protest, pray, and offer alternatives to the pregnant women entering the facility. This emotional documentary takes a look into the pro-life presence in Rockford, who they are, what they do, and some of the struggles they continually endure while standing up for the unborn.
